Asteroid City

It might be confirmation bias, but I had watched Asteroid City by Wes Anderson after I had written and attempted this song a few times, and it was like the movie just read the song's mind.

These three minutes describe an experience of being awake at a time where the world seems silent, pushing up the bedroom window, and just sitting in front of and looking out of it. it describes the quasi-anagnorisis of your existence, meaning, and place in the universe. a transformative experience that changes the positionality of your being in your mind, and therefore relative perspective. it’s a cosmic consciousness that only comes out at night, as day is filled with an unconscious busy restlessness. asleep during the day, awake during night. But it's a comfort to see the expanse of a sky and stars and airplanes filled with other humans going to places during the night (sonder).
